Panoramic trip around Varna by coach and on foot.
In 585 BC Greek colonists from Asia Minor, attracted by the beautiful Black Sea, founded a town, called Odessos. During the time of Roman Empire the town developed into an important trade centre. Today's name Varna is of Slavonic origin and is connected with the formation of Bulgarian country. Nowadays Varna is a big cultural and tourist centre.
A visit to the picturesque Aladja Monastery and the natural phenomenon Stone Forest is included in the excursion. Natural stone columns up to 6m. high were left after the withdrawal of the sea a million of years ago and form a unique "Stone forest".
The excursion finishes with a visit to an old cozy wine-cellar, where high quality Bulgarian wines are tasted, served with light snacks.
